1999 6m RTTY / SSTV qso via TEP
All departs to the beginnings of 1999, with the first signals of the T.E.P season when tried some programs that didn’t need complicated interfaces, we have chosen one and deepened the use.
The first tests done locally by IT9IPQ/9 Paul, IW9CER Tony and IT9SAS Joe, so much they have been encouraging to be pushed to try us the DX in 50 MHz SSTV.
Then, February 24 th 99, while we performed some tests, we are called from Ed ZS6Y, that he invites us to try Qso.

The T.E.P. signals from South Africa are strong and our imgs come perfectly in ZS6Y’s shack, unfortunately cause hardware problems, Ed is unable to transmit, therefore we allow us happy,giving appointment to us for next weekend. Unfortunately the following weekend no T.E.P. and therefore no qsos.
The first true qsos have been made toward on March 14/16 with strong signals with the good station of Ian ZS6BTE
